Tracker card
- No hole, no ring. You can't clip it to a zip or keyring without buying extra gear.
- You have to recharge it every 5–8 months — with a special pad. Lose the pad and you're stuck.
- It's paper-thin — great for a wallet slot, but it slides around and falls out of bags.
- Usually $40–$58 each in Australia. You're paying for how thin it is.

Straight answer
What this tag does — and what it doesn't.
Most brands hide this. We'd rather you buy the right thing than return the wrong one.
What it is
- A finder. It shows where it was last spotted by a nearby Apple device, and when.
- Works great around people. Airports, train stations, suburbs, carparks — anywhere iPhones are, this works well.
- Private and secure. Your location data is encrypted. Nothing is stored on the tag itself.
- No subscription. Ever. Pay once and you're done.
What it isn't
- It's not GPS. There's no satellite chip inside. The tag itself doesn't know where it is — a nearby iPhone figures that out and passes it along.
- It goes quiet without people around. Deep bush, an empty road at night, a shipping container — if no iPhones are nearby, it can't update.
- The map shows where it was, not where it is. The position has a timestamp — it tells you where the tag was spotted last, not its exact location right now.
- iPhone only. Android phones can't use this. If your house runs Android, it won't work for you.
Some trackers claim they stay silent — so a thief doesn't know they're being tracked. Watch out for that. Apple's own support page says its unwanted-tracking alerts fire for "AirTag, devices that are part of the Find My network accessory program, and some AirPods models." So a properly certified Find My tracker can alert someone's iPhone. If a tracker claims it stays completely silent, it probably isn't certified — which raises questions about everything else it promises. Our tag works like every other certified tracker on the network. We'd rather tell you upfront.

TECHSAFE is a small Australian business based in Brisbane, started in [YEAR]. We looked at the tracker market and saw the same thing everywhere: huge product lists, vague descriptions, and specs that fell apart the moment you asked a real question.
So we stock one tag. We know its range, its battery life, where it works and where it doesn't. When you email us, the person who replies has one on their own keys.
Where it's made
The TECHSAFE Tag is designed to our specs in Brisbane and made at our partner factory in Shenzhen — the same way nearly all consumer electronics are made. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
In practice: we design the housing and finish, we hold the compliance paperwork in our own name, and we keep stock in Australia. Your order leaves a local warehouse in [SUBURB, STATE], not a factory overseas.

These times are from the day it ships, not the day you order. Weekends and public holidays don't count. Carriers don't guarantee exact windows and neither do we — but we track every order and follow up on ones that get stuck.

Tracking
You'll get a confirmation email right away and a tracking email once it's scanned — usually within a few hours. If nothing moves after three business days, email us and we'll chase the carrier for you.
Where we ship from

International
We ship to New Zealand for a flat rate of [$RATE]. Usually 5–9 business days. We don't ship anywhere else yet — we'd rather get one market right first.
Lost, damaged or stuck in transit? Email us your order number and we'll sort it out. You don't need to chase the carrier yourself.
Returns & warranty
100 days to change your mind. Used is fine.
You can't really know if a tracker works for you until you've used it. So we give you 100 days — long enough to actually find out.
How returns work
- Email [support@yourdomain.com.au] with your order number and a quick note about the problem.
- We'll reply within one business day with a return number and a prepaid label.
- Put it in any satchel, write the return number on the outside, and drop it at any post office.
- We'll refund your original payment method within 5 business days of it arriving back to us.
No restocking fee. No "must be unopened" rule. You don't have to justify yourself. If you've used it and it's not for you, that's what the 100 days are for.
The 2-year warranty
Every TECHSAFE Tag is covered for 24 months against manufacturing faults — speaker fails, housing cracks, pairing chip dies. We replace it, not repair it, and we cover the postage both ways.
The warranty doesn't cover a dead battery (that's a consumable) or physical damage from crushing, drilling, or leaving it underwater for longer than it's rated for.
Your rights under Australian law
Our products come with guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that we cannot exclude. If there's a major fault, you're entitled to a replacement or a full refund. For smaller issues, we'll repair or replace the item.
These rights sit on top of our 100-day return window and 2-year warranty. Nothing on this page takes those rights away.
Take a photo before anything else and email us the same day. We'll send a replacement before the return even gets back to us.
Returning part of a multi-pack
You can return some tags and keep others. We'll refund based on the correct price for however many you keep — so if you return 2 from a 5-pack, you'll be refunded at the 3-pack rate, not the single price.

These two questions come up all the time — the answers are already here:
- It won't pair. Make sure you're on iOS 14.5 or later, Bluetooth is on, and the tag is close to your phone. Pull the battery tab if you haven't already.
- The location hasn't updated. That's normal. The tag only updates when an iPhone walks past it. In a quiet area, that can take hours.
Anything else — just email us. Include your order number and we'll skip the back-and-forth.

Privacy
We collect your name, address, email and order details to ship your order and help you afterwards. Your card details never hit our servers — they go straight to our payment provider.
We don't sell your data. We use it to ship orders, provide support, and (if you opt in) send the occasional email. You can request a copy of what we hold or ask us to delete it anytime.
About the tag: TECHSAFE never sees where your tag is. Find My location data is encrypted end-to-end between the tag and your Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy covers that — not ours.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS on Shopify and payments are processed by Shopify Payments, who is PCI DSS compliant.
Terms of sale
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. You'll get a tax invoice with every order. If something is mispriced or out of stock, we may cancel and refund your order — we'll always tell you first.
Nothing in these terms overrides your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
